Why Hire a GCBAA Builder or Supplier?
The Golf Course Remodeling and Building Process
Are there any draft contracts available for builders, owners, architects, and superintendents to use before beginning a new construction or renovation project?
The American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) and the Golf Course Builders Association of America jointly recognized that standard contract forms used in our industry did not adequately describe the roles and responsibilities of the Golf Course Architect, the Contractor, and the Owner in a golf course construction project. In response to this situation, members of each organization volunteered to collaborate in the development of a set of General Conditions and a Sample Contract that more accurately establishes the relationships and responsibilities of the aforementioned parties. The documents that were developed in no way infringe upon the Golf Course Architects' rights and duties with respect to developing a set of technical specifications that differentiate them from those of other colleagues in the industry. Furthermore, we recommend that the documents be reviewed by project attorneys prior to the execution of a formal agreement. While neither the American Society of Golf Course Architects nor the Golf Course Builders Association of America can take legal responsibility for the documents, it is our joint hope that they will become the standar format for future golf course construction agreements. The contract is available in CD-ROM format to GCBAA and ASGCA Members only.

You must pre-register for the show to receive admission credentials.
The GCBAA holds a Summer Meeting each year in conjunction with the PGA Championship. This meeting includes education seminars, an annual golf tournament and other social events.
