GCBAA Summer Meeting August 2021
The GCBAA Board of Directors and Meetings Committee have been closely monitoring North Carolina Directed Health Measures, as well as CDC Guidelines related to COVID-19. On Friday, May 14, the Governor of North Carolina provided guidance for larger, in-person indoor and outdoor events. The new guidelines restore confidence in the ability to host an enjoyable and safe Summer Meeting.
The Board of Directors would like to open the registration process with complete understanding guidelines and measures might change between now and the event. With the safety of the attendees and property staff as the top priority, the registration process will be flexible with open communication as details develop. At this time, the format is simplified to allow for adjustments.
Notice, the Meetings Committee will not be offering a formal golf tournament or spouse outing. The property offers a variety of activities and the office is available to assist groups if they would like to arrange their own event.
At this time, CDC Guidelines and North Carolina have lifted restrictions for fully vaccinated individuals. While there are restrictions in place at health clinics and some transportation hubs, the activities associated with the GCBAA Summer Meeting are likely exempt and social distancing and masks would not be required. Note, this could change.
